Feeling bored in your space? A bit stuck in a rut with your usually fabulous décor choices? We’ve rounded up a few sources of inspiration that we turn to when we’re in need of inspiration. Enjoy… and may inspiration strike you at just the right time!
The Beach
Okay, yes, we know—this one doesn’t feel like a huge revelation. But! The ocean is a big source of creativity for us. Décor inspired by the ocean doesn’t need to feel clichéd either…you’ll be shocked what a huge difference an understated glass jar filled with sea shells can make in your space. And if you’re not a beach person? Just try to bring in the outdoors any way you can! No matter how you chose to do so, a bit of nature will definitely freshen things up.
It’s easy to fall down the social media rabbit hole…we’ve all been there! One minute, you’re enjoying the scroll and the next, you’re three years deep in the feed of an influencer who makes you feel, well…a bit inadequate. Like we said, we’ve been there! But, if you use Instagram as a carefully curated tool and only follow accounts that make you feel happy and inspired, you can find a ton of awesome home décor ideas online. Some of our favorite accounts to steal decorating tips from? Check out the @the.wing, @ariellevey, and @alilabelle — though we totally encourage you to go out and find your own list of Instagram #inspo.
Wandering Through the Aisles of Target
Okay, this suggestion is also a recipe for disaster if you’re sticking to a strict budget, sooooo don’t blame us if you come home with waaaay more than you intended! But, when we just want to find something cute to add to our space to spice things up a bit, we often wander the aisles at Target—we can count on one hand the number of times we came home empty handed! If Target isn’t your place, we suggest that same aimless walk in any fun homegoods store…it’s just about taking the time to let the right item come to you!
