You love wine, we love wine, everybody loves wine!! (Why do we hear Oprah in our heads right now?)
You love it, but how much do you spend on it? We are of the opinion that a $20 bottle of wine is all you need for a great meal, or just to enjoy in the company of friends. A recent trip to the wine store found us swimming (not literally, they frown on that at our wine store…) in $20 choices.
We took (quite) a few home and happily found them all to be winners. Complex flavor notes, with a lot of options for meal pairing or just enjoying the bottle. Sure, there are a few that may complain that $20 is “too much” for a bottle of wine. Yes, you can get a nice bottle for less than $20, but we have found that these choices generally lack special nuance or character.
So for us, $20 is the win(e)!
